Daisy is an 11 year old grade Drum mare standing 16.0 hands high. Daisy stands out everywhere she goes. This girl has all of the hair one could ever ask for. She loves being groomed and pampered.
Daisy has impeccable ground and barn manners. She stands lovely in cross ties, she is good for the farrier and stands nicely to be clipped. Daisy doesn't mind being in a stall, she is quiet and doesn't make a peep.
Daisy is also amazing at trail obstacle courses and has natural horsemanship training.
In the field, Daisy is a sweetheart. She is turned out with geldings, mares, and youngsters. She gets along with everyone very well. She is not bossy or pushy towards the other horses.
Under saddle, Despite her size daisy is quite athletic. She has three lovey gaits with an easy-to-sit trot along and a lovely floaty canter with beautiful transitions. Daisy has an easy stop and a nice light mouth, she is uncomplicated to say the least. We have popped her over some fences and she has always been honest and straightforward. She is learning lateral movements and coming along nicely. We believe she would make someone a lovely low level eventer.
Daisy is a little more athletic than most draft horses and is best suited for an intermediate rider and up. She is not suited for a beginner rider.
Daisy has been a wonderful trail mount and will hack out both alone or in a group. Daisy is happy to hack out English or western.
In a group, Daisy is happy to lead, follow, or ride in the middle of the group. She doesn't get upset if another horse is riding closely behind her or staying in her space. Daisy doesn't mind being left behind and going at your preferred pace. Daisy has crossed many streams, climbed up and down tons of hills, crossed bridges, roads, mud, rocks and has never second guessed what we asked of her.
Daisy is said to drive single, we have not hooked her.
Daisy is UTD on all shots, wormer and farrier, she is microchipped as well.
